This is a new indicator, currently with few data metrics available. Identifying the barriers to the access to outdoor and indoor recreation opportunities, whether parks and recreation programs, public trails, sporting events, recreational facilities or other is necessary to understanding new ways to promote existing recreation and recreational facilities.
In TMT’s December 2007 community survey, 84.6% of respondents reported having access to the types of recreation opportunities and facilities that they want in the region vs. 12.2% reporting no access.
